What is the best camera company at the moment?

with 8 comments

In your opinion, of course. I’m looking into getting a camera and this is one of the first steps I’m taking. Which camera company (that sells digital cameras) do you think provides the best quality and cutting edge technology cameras? Price is no issue. I want the Bose of cameras.

What is the best brand of flat panel TV to buy based on longevity?

with 5 comments

I purchased a 42″ Phillips flat panel TV less than a year ago. It has now gone out. I purchased it with a 2-year in-home service contract, which I now find out was only good for a year and no one will come to my home to repair it. Which brand can beat this?

What is the best camera (or camera brand) for aspiring photographers?

with 4 comments

What is the best camera (or camera brand) for aspiring photographers?
I want to buy a good camera with good photo quality, because I want to try some amateur photography (hopefully progress to professional after I’m done with college), so I need to know the best camera to start out on. I also want to know which is better Canon or Nikon? If anyone can help, please do! And any info on photography would be great!

What is the best camera for an amateur who can’t spend too much money?

with 5 comments

I ordred a proffesional camera from E-Bay, and when it came in, it did not even work! I guess that’s E-Bay for you. We are in the process of returning it. In the meantime my husband was able to get me a camera at a low cost from where he works, but it is only a small digital camera. The pictures I have taken with it are still not as good as I would have hoped, regardless of how the subject is posed and the angle I am shooting at. I understand about trying to photograph in the early morning and late evening to acheive the best lighting. But the colors are still not very bright and the picture not very sharp. Do I really just need to get a more professional camera to acheive this, or is it possible to get good quality photos from a cheap camera with the right experience? What type of camera would you recommend for an amateur photographer, when we really can’t afford the thousand dollar ones?

I have heard that there are certain times of the year where retailers have the best sales and deals. I was wondering if anyone out there might me able to shed some light on this for me. I am renovating my kitchen and, of course, would like to save as much money as possible.

What camera is best for independent film making on a tight budget?

with 5 comments

Hi, I am wondering what camera would be best for independent film making on a tight budget? I have written a script for an independent horror themed film I want to create, but I am not sure what camera I should use. I don’t want to go into the the thousands for the camera alone since then I’d need the tripod, and other accessories for it. So is there any suggestions on what camera I should get?

Is Garmin the Best? GPS Navigation Comparison Test

without comments

www.edmunds.com You’ve got a busy summer ahead. Before setting out on that road trip out West or back East, you’ll have to find time to download some travel music. (We recommend new releases from Common, My Morning Jacket and Weezer.) After that, we’ve got another assignment for you that promises to make your summer trip easier and may enhance your listening habits, too: Get a portable navigation system. Of course, we wouldn’t dream of leaving you out in the cold on such an important decision, so we’re updating last year’s portable navigation system roundup with four new or newly improved portable systems. Since our last portable navigation review, a few of the units we sampled have changed significantly, plus there are two all-new units that seem promising on paper — the Dash Express and Becker Travel Assistant. More Than Just Directions Although most navigation systems have the same map data provided by one of two companies, all units are not the same. The interface, computing time and features vary greatly. One thing to keep in mind when shopping for a portable navigation device is that price isn’t a good indicator of quality. Some of the poorest-performing devices can also be the most expensive. On the other hand, even midprice brands offer tons of features, including a way to play those downloaded Weezer tracks. Another notable feature is real-time traffic — all the units featured here have it. If you don’t need features like traffic and the ability to play music
